Gibson and guitar legend Les Paul teamed
up in 1952 to produce the guitar that set the standard for solidbody electrics.
In the 1990s the Les Paul still enjoys the most successful endorsement agreement
in the history of the guitar, and the Les Paul Standard is still the
Industry Standard.

They have commemorated the 30th anniversary of the original Les Paul Deluxe
with a new limited production model. Originally released in 1969 to replace
the P-90 Les Paul, the Deluxe featured the now famous "mini-humbucker"" pickup.
They have faithfully recreated this pickup including it in a contemporary
Les Paul Standard to accurately reproduce the look and better yet, the crunch
and bite of the original. Today's Deluxe features a one-piece mahogany back
and neck, bookmatched maple top, and vintage style tuners. The Les Paul 30th
Anniversary Deluxe is available for a limited time in nitro-cellulose lacquered
Ebony, Wine Red and new Bullion Gold finishes.
