The G5 Guitar Effects and Amp Simulator by Zoom features 120 stompbox effects for electric guitar including distortion, compression, modulation, delay, reverb and much, much more. It also offers 22 amp models ranging from vintage to today's latest in amp technology. Some of the amps modeled include a 1965 Fender Twin Reverb, Mesa Boogie MKIII, Matchless DC-30, Marshall 1959, Orange Graphic 120 and JCM2000 Marshall stack just to name a few. To further enhance the realism, the G5 includes a sigmoid curve clipper which re-creates the smooth clipping of tube amps delivering warm, fat and aggressive sounds.
Not only does the G5 provide you with tons of stompbox effects, amp modeling, and 140, high quality DSP effects it also doubles as a digital audio interface allowing you to record directly to your computer via USB. Included is Steinberg's Cubase LE recording software which allows you to record and mix multiple tracks of guitars and other instruments. Other convenient features include a 60 second phrase looper, a built-in tuner, a built-in drum machine with 40 onboard rhythms and a balanced XLR DI output.
