18-channel rackmountable Audio/MIDI interface
The latest computer interface solution from TASCAM brings many of the audio and MIDI interface features of the FW-1884 to a rackmountable format with the new FW-1804. It features four great-sounding XLR microphone inputs with analog inserts and phantom power for professional condenser mics. An additional four line inputs are provided, plus ADAT and S/PDIF digital connection for a total of 18 inputs and 12 outputs. Two MIDI inputs and four MIDI outputs round out the interfacing with pro touches like word clock and a guitar-level input.

The FW-1804 includes TASCAM’s latest software bundle, including 48-track/96k Cubase LE recording software, GigaStudio 3 LE software sampler and dozens of Nomad Factory plug-in demos. The FW-1804 is the solution for anyone looking for a universally-supported audio/MIDI interface without the room for a control surface.

Cubase LE 96kHz/48-track recording software, the new GigaStudio 3 LE streaming sampled instrument and Nomad Factory plug-in demos for a complete professional recording package.
Cubase LE for Mac OS X and Windows XP computers can play back up to 48 audio tracks and 64 MIDI tracks. It records at 96kHz/24-bit resolution for extended range recording of acoustic instruments. It supports VST plug-in effects and instruments. Sophisticated MIDI track editing is included, and loop slice, stretch, groove and tempo analysis assist in rock and dance music production.

GigaStudio 3 LE is based on the latest version of world’s best streaming sampler. GigaStudio 3 LE has all of the features of its bigger brothers like ReWire capability, VST plug-in hosting, 96kHz/24-bit sample playback, GigaPulse SP convolution effects and compatibility with all GigaStudio sample libraries. It includes the "MegaPiano" piano library, based on TASCAM’s acclaimed GigaPiano 2 sample.

Nomad Factory demos of Blue Tubes Bundle 2.0, Rock Amp Legends and Liquid bundle plug-ins are included in VST, HTDM, RTAS and AU formats for Mac and PC computers. A free Nomad Factory delay plug-in does not expire with the other demos.
