In Depth

BATTERY STUDIO DRUMS is a comprehensive, meticulously recorded collection of over 1.1 GB of acoustic drum samples designed for the BATTERY drum sampler. These kits are also compatible with the NI sampler KONTAKT.

The sample library was developed in partnership with Yellow Tools and combines over 3000 edited samples of five studio drum sets in extraordinary sound quality. The recorded drum sets include drums from DW™, Pearl™, Sonor™, Tama™, and Yamaha™ with Cymbals from Sabian™, Paiste™, Meinl™ and Zildjan™.

Two BATTERY CD-ROMs contain twelve GM-compatible studio-kits, eleven chromatic kits, and three tom kits (from 8 to 16 inch). The sounds cover a wide variety of musical styles like Pop, Rock, Jazz, Soul, Funk, and more. Up to 16 velocity layers per drum (for bass drum, snare and toms) make the STUDIO DRUMS highly playable, expressive, and authentic.

This Rock Demo was produced by Modo Bierkamp and Henning Rümenapp (Guano Apes) using BATTERY and the "Studio Kit 01 Large". "Rock Demo" was processed in Pro Tools using reverb and compression, "Rock Demo-Drums only" is pure original sound without any effects.

"Pop Demo" was produced by Modo Bierkamp and Henning Rümenapp (Guano Apes) using BATTERY and the "Studio Kit 07 small", plus additional software instruments, effects and compressors. "Pop Demo Drums only" is pure original sound without any effects.

This "Jazz Demo" was produced by Modo Bierkamp (Drums & Mix) and Jojo Büld (Orgel) using BATTERY, Studio Drums an the NI B4. They used the
"Studio Kit 03 Large" and die B4, including reverb and compression. "Jazz Demo Drums only" contains pure Studio Drums without any effects.
