Martin's new Performing Artist Series features the new Fishman F-1 Aura pickup system, with unobtrusive but powerful side-mounted on-board controls. - Body is built of solid East Indian rosewood with a solid Sitka spruce top, solid wood binding (ovangkol), and pearl rosette. Martin has developed a new fast neck shape for the series and a smaller bridge for more top resonance. Ebony fretboard (1-3/4" nut, 25.4" scale) with white pearl and blue paua shell arrows and squares inlay pattern, new block letter logo inlay on peghead, gold enclosed tuning gears. Pickup system blends the signal from a Martin Gold Plus transducer with one of 9 microphone sound images. Controls include separate 3-band EQs for pickup and sound image, volume & blend, compressor, phase control, anti-feedback filter with up to 3 notches, and a chromatic tuner.
