DescriptionThis surround package includes One (1) HR626 THX, Four(4) HR624THX Monitors and One (1) HRS120THX Subwoofer all at a special discount price!Mackie HR626 THX The HR626 is the first active Mackie studio monitor with a D’Appolito woofer-tweeter-woofer design. It has one 6.7-inch woofer on each end of the cabinet with the dome tweeter in the center. The monitor can be setup vertically or horizontally, depending on the application. The 2-way bi-amplified monitor implements servo-feedback circuitry and an elliptical passive radiator to achieve low distortion and extended low-frequency response similar to the HR824. The waveguide-loaded high frequency aluminum dome tweeter provides the same crisp and evenly dispersed highs as all of Mackie’s world-class reference monitors. The 5 /8-inch internally braced MDF cabinet is extremely rigid and non-resonant. It shares the same professional design as the other Mackie monitors – the HR824 and the HR624. The HR626 is the ideal monitor for those who need lots of bottom end, along with the low-level accuracy of the mid range for mixing and vocal placement. Thanks to its D’Appolito driver alignment design, the HR626 can be used in both vertical and horizontal positions. Placing the HR626 in a vertical position provides extremely accurate reference monitoring for mid-to large-sized studios. Because of its symmetrical left-right sound field, it can also be placed horizontally and used as a superior center channel in a 5.1 or 7.1 surround monitoring or home theater system. FAQ from Mackie Why should I buy the HR626 over the competition? The HR626 uses Mackie Active technology, eliminating the need for an outboard amplifier, an EQ and a crossover, as they are already built in It’s the first active pro audio monitor with the D’Appolito driver alignment design Is fully THX PM3 certified The HR626 is magnetically shielded How do I know which Mackie HR monitor is right for me? With the new choices in Mackie’s HR family of active studio monitors, it’s important to know which speaker is of the best value to you. Bottom line, it really depends on your intended application. For example, for hours of general mixing, a set of HR824s and an HRS120 would suit you just fine as you’re provided with a healthy amount of bottom end and a comfortable level with your highs. If you’re in to beat mixing, such as rap, hip hop or techno, the HRS150 is definitely the right choice for your sub, and either HR624s or HR626s are the best for vocal placement. Or mix and match any combination of Mackie’s HR monitors to create any 5.1 or 7.1 surround system. Can I place HR626s horizontally and vertically? Yes, thanks to its D’Appolito design, the monitor is perfect for center channel applications when placed horizontal and equally satisfying to listen to when upright for standard monitoring applications. Plus, the Mackie logo rotates dependent on your usage. How cool is that? Are HR626s THX approved? Like all of Mackie’s HR series monitors, the HR626 is fully THX PM3 approved. In case you didn’t know, THX PM3 approval is the certification program for Professional Multi-Channel Mixing and Monitoring that was introduced by Lucasfilm THX in June 1999. The program provides standards in applications for 5.1 and 7.1 surround systems for multi-channel mixing. The THX PM3 program established new equipment and room acoustics specifications that provide two key benefits. First, THX PM3 makes it easier to design and build rooms that provide the proper environment for monitoring transfer quality. And second, it ensures that a multi channel mix will deliver consistently accurate results. What amp, EQ and crossover should I purchase for use with my HR626? Now you’re just being silly! All of Mackie’s active studio monitors, including the HR626, have built-in amplification, EQ, crossovers, protection circuitry, time correction and phase alignment to provide you with a perfectly flat reference monitor right out of the box. Just plug it in, turn it on and start grinning Can I place my HR626s next to a TV screen or video monitor? Yes. All the Mackie full range studio monitors are magnetically shielded, making them a perfect fit in computer-based studios and video post-production facilities as well as broadcast and theater applications. How can I mount my HR626s on the wall? Speaker stands, shelves and clamp-style mounts like those used for TV sets are recommended for this task. The one thing you should never do is drill into the cabinet to “fly” an HR626. The cabinet is not designed for this and it will break the airtight seal inside the cabinet, which would prevent the speaker from performing to our specs. Whatever your monitoring needs are, the HR626 is a sure bet to provide results at a level higher than expected. The Mackie HR624 is a THX-approved, six-inch, two-way active reference monitor that provides the same legendary accuracy of Mackie’s HR824 in a more compact, lighter-weight, lower-priced package. The HR624 is designed to work perfectly with the Mackie HRS120, 12" 400-watt active subwoofer system as well as the Mackie HR824 active 8" monitor in surround installations. The Mackie HR624 is the ideal choice for smaller recording studios, or home and project studios looking for a monitor with the best combination of features and value. Through shared acoustic technology, the HR624 offers the same clarity and responsiveness of the HR824, but in a smaller size. Its six-inch woofer offers smooth, detailed mid-range frequency responsiveness with the same high-end clarity and low-end punch as the HR824. With extremely even dispersion for a wider "sweet spot" and user-adjustable controls for different acoustic spaces, the HR624 is an ex- cellent choice for high precision, near-field sound reinforcement. What’s more, given the HR624’s high output, wide frequency response and small size, it is also ideally suited for rear surround sound channels in home theater installations. Mackie is so confident in the HR624’s frequency response that each speaker comes with a certificate of calibration.
