Description
The Latin Percussion Aspire Accent Wood Conga Set features a scarab design adorning a finish that is exotic and fascinating, unique to the world of drums. These LP congas stand 28" tall and come in head combinations of 10" and 11". The congas are fitted with fine rawhide skins and topped with EZ Curve Rims to save your hands. Conga set comes with a sturdy, chromed double stand that highly adjustable.

Things keep getting better and better for the affordable, rich sounding Aspire series from LP. Now LP has applied traditional LP innovation to the realm of aesthetics. The result is one of the most beautiful finishes to adorn any conga.

The LP Aspire line brings a striking look: the LP Aspire Scarab, a multi-faceted finish that combines contemporary and ancient design components. The scarab finish focuses on an intertwined motif depicting an unbroken series of scarab beetles-insects considered sacred by the ancient Egyptians and figuring highly in their art and mythology. Symbolizing eternal life, the scarab was said to be sacred and has been found in stone, in sculptures, on amulets, and aligned as picture borders and in lieu of marquetry on fine furniture. On LP Aspire congas, the scarab bands intersect upper and lower panels of glistening black lacquer. The contrast of the motif against a maple center band is rivaled only by the juxtaposition of mirror chrome against jet-black lacquer.

The LP Aspire line has always featured great sounding drums and fabulous finishes. The scarab finish, however, is an example of LP bettering itself especially when you see the low price.
